Applications are now being accepted for Round 2 of the Expanding Peer Organization Capacity (EPOC) grant program.
This program is an investment in behavioral health peer-run programs’ capacity and infrastructure to “set the table” for the future Medi-Cal peer support services benefit. Round 2 grant funding is available to behavioral health peer-run nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organizations or organizations working toward nonprofit status along with a nonprofit fiscal agent. Funding is not available to for profit organizations.
The EPOC funding is focused on supporting new and emerging peer organizations as they prepare for state peer certification, which will be tied to the ability to bill Medi-Cal for peer services. Applicants may receive up to $200,000 to prepare expand staff, improve access, prepare to bill Medi-Cal for peer services and cover related costs.
EPOC has a special interest in ensuring high-quality services are available in underserved and high-need communities statewide, including programs that offer bilingual and cultural expertise and those in rural settings.
